South Pennines Sacred Trails
The Diocese of Bradford engaged MGH Consultants to develop online heritage / sacred visitor trails as part of a pilot project aimed at increasing accessiblity to the wide variety of religious buildings in Haworth, Oxenhope and Addingham. The wider project looks to establish longer opening hours and multiple uses of the religious buildings to make them and their upkeep more sustainable and bring them into greater use and value for the local community.
The project delivers interactive visitor trails accessible via Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Maps for mobile, Yahoo Maps, Bing Maps and any other online mapping utilities that can read KML feeds. In addition bespoke, stylised were developed to create interactive maps on the project website http://www.southpenninessacredtrails.org.uk as well as printable maps that can be printed by the user or scaled for printing into paper leaflets.
